Ethiopia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry Expresses Condolences on Passing Away of Former President of Somaliland 

Addis Ababa November 17/2024 (ENA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia expresses its condolences to the people of Somaliland on the passing away of former President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud (Siilaanyo).

President Ahmed Mohamed was a longtime friend of Ethiopia who played a significant part in cementing the strong relationship between the two peoples.

The Ministry conveyed its sympathies to his family and to the entire people of Somaliland during this difficult time.
