Embassies, Ambassadors & Heads of Int’l Organizations Extend Best Wishes on Ethiopian Christmas

Addis Ababa January 7/2025 (ENA) - Various country embassies, ambassadors, and heads of international organizations in Addis Ababa have sent their warm wishes for the celebration of Ethiopian Christmas (Gena).

African Union Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat posted on social media “Melkam Genna to our Ethiopian friends and collegues, and all those celebrating Christmas! With all our best wishes of joy and blessings.”

The Secretary General of IGAD, Workneh Gebeyehu also wished a joyous celebration of Ethiopian Christmas.

The Russian and US Embassies in Addis Ababa expressed their best wishes to all Ethiopians celebrating the occasion.

Israel's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Abraham Niguse conveyed christmas greetings to Ethiopian Christians pointing out that relations between Ethiopia and Israel are multifaceted.

Ambassador of Djibouti to Ethiopia, Abdi Mahmoud Ibe and  Pakistan's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Atif Sharif have wished Merry Christmas to all Christians. They expressed their best wishes for the festival to be full of love, health and peace.

Embassies of Switzerland, German, Luxembourg, Canada, Iran, Australia, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Mexico, Spain, and Sri Lanka have also extended best wishes to all those celebrating Gena, Ethiopian Christmas. 

World Food Program, UN Woman, Save the Children, and World Vision conveyed similar best wish message.
