House Speaker Highlights Ethiopia's Commitment to Fostering Int’l Partnerships

Addis Ababa January 13/2025 (ENA) — The House of People’s Representatives Speaker, Tagesse Chafo conferred with Denmark Princess, Benedikte Astrid Ingeborg Ingrid in his office today.

The two sides discussed ways to foster socio-economic cooperation between Ethiopia and Denmark.

The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation and exploring areas of collaborations that could benefit both nations.

On the occasion, the Speaker highlighted Ethiopia's commitment to fostering international partnerships and emphasized the importance of Denmark's support in various sectors, including education, health, and economic development.

Expressing gratitude for Denmark's ongoing collaboration with Ethiopia in areas such as agriculture and renewable energy sectors, Tagesse reiterated Ethiopia's readiness to work closely with Denmark to attain set goals by both countries.

 

Whilst, Princess Benedikte acknowledged the long-standing friendship between Denmark and Ethiopia, noting the significant achievements made through their cooperative efforts.

She expressed Denmark’s commitment to continuing its support for Ethiopia's development initiatives and emphasized the potential for further collaboration in areas such as education and sustainable economic development between the two countries.

The discussion concluded with both sides expressing optimism about the future of Ethiopia-Denmark relations, exploring new avenues for cooperation.

The formal bilateral diplomatic relation between Ethiopia and Denmark was established in 1967, it was learned.
