AfDB President Reaffirms Bank’s Continued Support to Ethiopia’s Agriculture Sector

Addis Ababa, February 19, 2025 (ENA) -- The President of African Development Bank (AfDB), Akinwumi A. Adesina reaffirmed the bank’s continued support to Ethiopia’s agriculture sector. 

The President has conferred with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed in Addis Ababa.

He said on a social media post that it was great meeting with you Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed affirming that the African Development Bank will continue to support Ethiopia’s agricultural sector, building on our strong support behind Ethiopia’s remarkable achievements in wheat production. 

PM Abiy said on social media post last week that he discussed with the African Development Bank President Akinwumi A. Adesina and International Fund for Agricultural Development President Alvaro Lario on their ongoing support for Ethiopia’s agricultural sector. 

“We also discussed enhancing cooperation to drive sustainable growth and resilience in the industry,” the premier added.
